Not just in the state of Oklahoma, but all across the country.  \u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EA dear friend of mine was also wrongfully convicted three years ago, although it is not a murder or rape case.  Until that time, I had no idea that an innocent person could be convicted on basically no evidence, except for someone\u0026#39;s accusation.  Since then, I\u0026#39;ve read many books besides those I\u0026#39;ve mentioned, and it is truly frightening how easy it is for someone to be wrongly convicted when the accused has committed NO crime at all.  \u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EI am very grateful that both John Grisham and Dennis Fritz took the time to write books on this topic, which is too often ignored by many.  These books and others give a chilling demonstration that contrary to what law enforcement would prefer everyone to believe, wrongful convictions happen a lot more often than most of us are comfortable admitting. It sounds like a perfect case for them.  It horrifies me that Tommy and Karl are still in prison also, but I can believe it because my son was also conveicted of something he did not do.  The DNA evidence proved his innocence but he still ended up convicted and in prison for four and a half years.  If there is anything I can do to help, I will do it.
